There are many opportunities available to serve through the Community of Hope.  We invite you to become involved in a ministry or event that matches your gifts and ability.  New ideas for projects or events are always welcome!

Ministry Activities or Events

Prayer Volunteer
Our ministry is covered with prayer before, during, and after each event or ministry program.  Your prayers are a source of support for the Community of HOPE! Our ministry’s workers are volunteers!  The Community of HOPE welcomes anyone that shares our Biblical beliefs to volunteer.

Weekly Opportunities

Food/Clothes Pantry Tutoring Furniture Ministry
1st Tuesday (or Tuesday prior to 1st  Wednesday ) & 3rd Tuesday 9am – 1 pm

-Package food items for food pantry

-Sort and organize clothes/shoes


1st & 3rd Wednesdays 9am-2:30pm

-Interviewing of clients for food pantry

-Includes one-on-one contact; offer prayer to each person (training will be provided)

Any block of time donated is helpful

Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-5:00

Serenity Townhomes

4930 Park Towne Way, Montgomery, AL

-Spend time with the students!

-Guide in completing basic homework and completion of projects

Any block of time donated is helpful

Thursdays 9am-12pm

-Assist in calling people for pickup

-Document voicemail messages

-Deliver furniture

Food packages distributed to children during the break to cover meals not eaten while at school Events are held at local multi-housing units to share the Word of God.  Block parties, Bible clubs, crafts, and water games. Donate backpacks and/or school supplies to be distributed to students participating in Hope’s programs Sponsor a family to receive a Thanksgiving basket to include canned goods, paper products, hygiene items, meat item Sponsor a family to receive a Christmas basket to include canned goods, paper products, hygiene items, meat item

Host a Christmas program at the center or your church for our clients to include a choir, light meal
