Community of Hope is funded strictly by donations from individuals, local churches & Bible classes, civic
organizations, and grants from companies or faith based organizations.
The combination of the donations received from all sources allows the ministry to continue operations. Funds are used to meet the ministry’s administrative expenses and to purchase hygiene products and food for give-away.
If you would like to make a one-time or recurring financial donation online, you may do so with a credit or debit card. You may also send financial contributions made payable to Community of Hope by mail to the following address: PO Box 11091, Montgomery, AL 36111.
Donate Goods
Community of Hope accepts donated items four days a week, Monday through Thursday from 9 AM – 1 PM and on first Saturdays from 9 AM – 1 PM. We accept all manner of items including food, hygiene products, clothes, shoes, household items, appliances and furniture. We ask that all donated items be in good working condition and safe to use.
At this time, we cannot provide transportation to pick up donations. (If you have the means and time to donate to picking up furniture, we would love to hear from you. Give us a call!)
Below are items we could always use, whether you want to donate items as an individual or plan a drive.
Donate Time
Community of Hope would not be able to do the work it does without its valuable volunteers.
It is volunteers who prepare grocery and hygiene bags for our families. It is volunteers who sort through approximately 100 bags/boxes of donations each week and prepare the shopping area for the days we are open to the public. It is volunteers who are the hands and feet of the ministry.
Individual volunteers have the opportunity to work with us four days a week, Monday through Thursday from 9 AM – 1 PM and on first Saturdays from 9 AM – 1 PM. Whether it is 2 hours or 16 hours a week, it all contributes to our service to families in the River Region and beyond.
Groups may schedule to work during those same hours or may request another time. Call us, if you would like your group to work with us.
